Africa has over 45 million orphans, and the number is growing. The AIDS epidemic has orphaned 13 million children, and over 35 million children have lost parents to war, famine, and disease.* Many more children are vulnerable, at great risk for starvation, disease, orphanhood, illiteracy, abuse, death. For the Children’s Sake Foundation trains local teachers who serve orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in Africa.
